Connect with nature and practice in the serene outdoor setting of Wissahickon Valley Park with FOW for a monthly outdoor yoga series.
On the 3rd Sunday of each month we will meet for a one hour yoga practice of varied styles, postures, and breathing exercises. Each month will feature a different location and teacher. This month features teacher Jill Jones. Jill is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher at the Jr. Intermediate 1 level, and has been a student of this method since 1994, teaching since 2002. She is drawn to the art, science and philosophy of yoga as taught in the Iyengar Yoga tradition, as its particular demand for complete attention, intelligent sequencing and subtle refinements provide for a lifetime of study and growth. Sharing the beauty of this method with others has been her motivation to teach and an ongoing gift. She studies regularly with senior Iyengar teachers and has completed 4 months of study at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India.
Please bring a mat and dress for the season. These classes are open to all levels. Pre-registration is required to attend, registration will close the night prior to each class.
