FOW members are invited to gather to review the past year and learn about upcoming FOW projects.  FOW members who attend the annual meeting will receive a printed copy of the Annual Report for 2011 in addition to the digital version (PDF) that all members will receive in May.

FOW Seeks Interns For Park Work

Friends of the Wissahickon is seeking interns for field and volunteer programs this Summer. Interns will conduct counts and surveys of park users as a part of the Park User Survey program and assist with volunteer park restoration projects, including assisting at trail projects, tree/shrub plantings, clean ups, etc.; carrying/setting up tools, tables and other supplies; picking up refreshments and other supplies for volunteers. more>>

FOW Hosts Valley Talk 5/15

The Friends of the Wissahickon will host two lectures this Spring on topics affecting the Wissahickon and nearby communities. These talks are sponsored by Valley Green Bank. more>>

Sustainability and the importance of open space are issues that are putting Philadelphia on the map and defining the City's future. These important topics will be discussed during Valley Talks this spring, sponsored by Valley Green Bank and the Friends of the Wissahickon. This lecture series takes place at Valley Green Inn and both lectures are free and open to the public; refreshments will follow.
